This is an authentic antique Japanese cast iron tetsubin teapot, signed (Ryubundo-zō), one of the most renowned Kyoto foundries active from the Edo to Meiji period.


Origin: Japan (Kyoto)


Maker: Ryubundo


Period: Late 19th to early 20th century (Meiji Era)


Material: Cast iron with original lid


Features: Finely textured surface, spherical lid knob with cut-out design, signed on the underside of the lid.

Condition: Antique condition with natural patina, consistent with age and use. No cleaning or restoration has been done to preserve authenticity.
